Leslie Goldblatt, DVM

Dr. Goldblatt graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. She has worked at Greenbrier and Golden Valley-Brookview Animal Hospitals since 1995 and became a co-owner in 1999. Dr. Goldblatt was recently certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and has been performing it on many patients. Her hobbies include raising her 3 daughters, taking care of her cat, "Ike," and her Standard Poodle, "Misty," reading, walking and biking.

 

Marc Rothstein, DVM

Dr. Rothstein graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1971. After spending an interesting two years in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, he returned to Minneapolis to practice. He opened Brookview Animal Hospital in Golden Valley in 1975 and Greenbrier Animal Hospital in Minnetonka in 1980. Dr. Rothstein's special interests include surgery, caring for birds and other "exotic pets," spending time with his bulldog mix "Jake", biking, playing tennis and fixing things.

 

Heidi Blackburn, DVM

Dr. Blackburn graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a BS in Biology in 1978. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, and then went on to an internship at Cornell University. Dr. Blackburn has been working in the Twin Cities ever since. When she's not caring for one of your pets, she's at home taking care of her three children, John, Lorelei and Rosalie, her cat, "Georgia," rabbit, "Snowball," leopard gecko, "Arthur". She also enjoys dancing, kayaking, biking, hiking, and gardening.

 

Maggie Tiffany, DVM

Dr. Tiffany graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Sociology in 1976 then went on to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine which she graduated from in 1984. After graduating, she worked in several clinics around the Twin Cities before becoming an associate veterinarian with Golden Valley Animal Hospital in 1993. Dr. Tiffany shares her home with her husband, Phil, her dog, "Angus" and her cats, "Minnie", "Calliope", "Bertha" and "8-Ball". In her spare time she enjoys reading, walking, gardening, music and travel.

 

Jessie Beckey, Certified Veterinary Technician

Jessie is a 2005 graduate of the Minnesota School of Business.Before going into the veterinary field, she was in the army reserve. Jessie enjoys many activities including playing on softball and dart leagues spending time with friends and family, camping, fishing, playing with her dogs, "Val" and "Rex" and her cat, "Cinder".

 

Stephanie Clark, Certified Veterinary Technician

Steph is the manager of our Greenbrier location and is a 1998 graduate of MIM (Medical Institute of Minnesota). She currently shares her home with two cats, "Billy" and "Victor", two birds, "Rubix" and "Abu" and her Rottweiler, "Gryphon". In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, going to concerts, cross-stitching, scrap-booking and teaching Rubix to talk.

 

Patty Griese, Veterinary Technician

Patty has been a Veterinary Technician since 1985. Through the years, she has been the Vice President for a humane society and fostered many animals. She currently shares her home with her husband and two children as well as her four dogs and six cats. In her spare time, Patty enjoys antiquing, fishing and walking with the dogs.

 

Jules Roberts, Certified Veterinary Technician

Jules is the manager of our Brookview location and is a 1997 graduate of MIM. She was certified as a Veterinary Dental Technician in August of 2002. Jules' interests include rabbit health and husbandry, biking, weight training, kickboxing and reading. Jules unwinds from her days at the hospital by cuddling with her three cats, "Sebastian," "Solomon" and "Sophia," dog, "Maggie" and her two rabbits, "Simon" and "Samuel".

 

Christina Rubio, Veterinary Technician

Christina is a 2006 graduate of the Minnesota School of Business Veterinary Technician program. When she was younger, she helped her aunt train dogs and would pick up strays often. In her free time, she enjoys reading, camping, horse-back riding and visiting the zoo. Her critter crew at home includes her two dogs, "Punky" and "Chopper", two cats, "Cassie" and "Mr. Bojangles", two chinchillas, "Trin" and "Vash", lovebird, "Mango", red-tail boa "Sid" and her rat, "Bailey".

 

Jessica Weigel, Certified Veterinary Technician

Jessica is a 2007 graduate of Argosy University. Before settling on the veterinary field, she was a dietitian for five years. She shares her home with her two cats, "Paprika" and "Franklin". In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, horseback riding, and laying on the couch watching Animal Planet and eating Bon-Bons.

 

Kelsey Brenna, Veterinary Assistant

Kelsey is currently studying to become a Veterinary Technician and is enrolled at Argosy University. She started in the field because of her huge passion and love for animals of all kinds. She is currently caring for her new kitty, "Layla" as well as her Flat-Coated Retriever, "Ebby" and Australian Shepherd, "Charlie". When she has some time to spare, she likes to hang out with her friends and family, listen to music and watch movies.

 

Tami Huttner, Veterinary Assistant

Tami is currently a student at Argosy University studying for a degree in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys visiting the Humane Society and volunteers her time whenever possible. She currently shares her home with her husband, Steve, daughter, Dana, her dogs, "Lady" and "Eli" and the diva of the house, her cat, "Nicki."

 

Kristin Jacobsen, Veterinary Assistant

Kristin is a 2005 graduate from Northwestern University where she completed her studies in Psychology with a concentration in Biology. She is currently in her first year of Veterinary School at the University of Minnesota. Kristin enjoys spending time outdoors, buying shoes, watching movies and studying the history of film. She shares her home with her cats, "Francis", who is named after her favorite singer, Frank Sinatra and "Ava" after Frank's second wife, Ava Gardner.

 

Diana Jones, Veterinary Assistant

Diana joined our staff as a kennel assistant and has since been trained as a veterinary assistant. She recently graduated from St. Cloud State University with a BS in Environmental Science. She is currently working full time for a local environmental agency, but you can catch her here on the weekends. Her menagerie includes two cats, "Jinx" and "Tiddlypoo" and her dog, "Nyla." In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer and snowboarding.

 

Ann Sunn, Veterinary Assistant

Ann spent 30 years in medical manufacturing before deciding it was time for a career change. In addition to having a degree in Management from Cardinal Stritch University, she is currently working toward a Bachelors degree at Minnesota School of Business in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys reading, crocheting, watching Animal Planet and spending time with her Dusky Conure, "Peanut".

 

Alysia Twiford, Veterinary Assistant

Alysia is currently a student in the Veterinary Technology program at the Minnesota School of Business. Along with her boyfriend, Adam, she shares her home with her two cats, "Bailey" and "Oros". In her spare time, she enjoys going shopping, horseback riding and enjoying the zoos and fairs that Minnesota has to offer.

 

Bethany Johnson, Kennel Assistant

Bethany is currently a senior at Cooper High School and is participating in the PSEO program at Bethel University. She is considering many careers at this time including veterinary medicine, business, forensics and architecture, but is still undecided. She currently shares her home with her Bichon Frise, "Molly" as well as foster animals. She volunteers for the humane society and enjoys hanging out with her friends, watching movies, horseback riding, playing piano and percussion instruments.

 

Emmet, Greeter

Emmet is a Yellow-Naped Amazon parrot. He has lived at Greenbrier for the last 15 years or so where many of you have gotten to meet him. He occasionally greets our clients with a friendly, "Hello," or "Hi, come on in". Emmet enjoys watching all the action, playing with his toys, and biting fingers that get too close. He has too many nicknames to mention. When you stop in, say hello, and you may be lucky enough to hear him talk back!

 

Trixie, Clinic Cat

Trixie is an 11-year-old shorthaired orange and white tabby. She came to our Greenbrier office after her dad could no longer tolerate a behavior problem. She enjoys greeting clients so she can get extra attention, napping in the sun, eating, getting into trouble and belly rubs. Her nicknames include Trixie-doodle, Trixie-Dixie and Fat Girl. She has a bit of weight problem, so she's on a special diet to control it. She can often be found napping in the front window and will gladly come over to the reception counter for some pets!
